How do I find out that my domain name points correctly?
In case the domain name is being transferred from another registrar, or you have changed the DNS servers so that they point to your account with us, you can check if the propagation is over by using the ping utility. a. If you are using Microsoft ® Windows operating system, please click the Start button. Then, select the Run tab, and in the space provided type in cmd and click OK. A new window will appear, where you need to type in the following: ping yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com is the domain name you wish to host with CornerNET. If the IP address located in your cPanel is present in the output of this command, then the domain name is pointing correctly. b. In case you are using a PC running UNIX/Linux/Mac, please open a console and type in ping yourdomain.com Again, the presence of the IP address from the cPanel in the output shows that propagation is over. Please note that if you have just transferred an account from a previous provider, typing in the respective domain name could take you to your previous hosting account. Using the ping utility ensures that this is not the case – it displays the actual address to which your domain name points.
