I'm getting an error page when accessing cPanel/Webmail using Internet Explorer 7 / Firefox 3

When you try to access your cPanel/Webmail through https://yourdomain.com, you will be redirected to log in to your account through a secure HTTPS connection.

Your browser will display a warning about a problem with the certificate. In fact, there is absolutely no security problem. The connection is still secure and you can safely disregard the warning.

However, both Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 3 instead of a pop-up warning, show a whole error page notifying you about an SSL problem. To proceed to your cPanel/Webmail, depending on your browser, you should:

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, once the warning page opens, you should click Continue to this website (not recommended).

If you are using Firefox 3, once the error page opens, you should click Or you can add an exception… > Add Exception... Then, in the pop-up window you should click Get Certificate and then Confirm Security Exception. To avoid having to go through this procedure every time you access your cPanel through a secure connection, you should tick the Permanently store this exception option available in the pop-up window.

Alternatively, you can avoid the SSL warnings by accessing your cPanel/Webmail through:

http://yourdomain.com/cpanel

or

http://cpanel.yourdomain.com

or

http://yourdomain.com:2082

or

http://yourdomain.com:2083

and your Webmail through:

http://yourdomain.com/webmail

or

http://webmail.yourdomain.com

or

http:yourdomain.com:2095

or

http://yourdomain.com:2096
