I am receiving security warnings when I try to access my cPanel area

You may receive security warnings when accessing your cPanel through:

https://cpanel.yourdomain.com

or

https://yourdomain.com/cpanel

This is because you access cPanel through your domain rather than through *.websitewelcome.com, which is the host used for the SSL certificate.

However, the connection is still secure and you can safely accept the certificate permanently.

You can access it without the warning by using:

http://yourdomain.com:2083

Alternatively, cPanel can be accessed using a normal connection through port 2082. For example:

http://domain.com/cpanel

will open the cPanel login page and won't display the SSL warning.
